This 2-bedroom westside suite sleeps 4-6 people and smaller groups are welcome. All rates are reduced for the last 10 days of the Olympics, with extra discounts for less than 4 people. It's a bright, spacious apartment in the desirable village-like neighborhood of West Point Grey, located within 10-20 minutes from most Vancouver Olympic events by taxi or express public transit.
The apartment is a 1,000-square-foot, fully furnished suite, with its own front entrance, on the ground floor of a large character home in beautiful West Point Grey. We're on a quiet tree-lined street one block from West 10th Avenue and the fast express buses to all of Vancouver's Olympic sites. We are four blocks from the gates of the University of B.C. where the Olympic hockey preliminaries and the full Paralympic sledge hockey tournament will be staged.
The adjacent block of West 10th is Point Grey's main street of fine shops, coffee houses, sushi bars, bakeries, banks, book-stores, groceries, liquor store, library, post office, pub and 20 terrifically varied restaurants. One block the other way is West Point Grey Park with its famous, panoramic, ocean-city-mountains view including the Olympics’ nightly light show. We are a three-minute drive from the beach and three minutes from the forest jogging trails of Pacific Spirit Park. All this within 15 minutes of the Olympic venues of downtown Vancouver.
We are also five minutes from the championship University Golf Course, which is open almost every day of the winter. Yes, in greater Vancouver you can golf and ski on the same day! Don't bother bringing your clubs – we will lend you ours.
The apartment sleeps 4 in two bedrooms and, with a sofa-bed in the living room, it can sleep 6 comfortably. It has a fully equipped kitchen, four-piece bathroom, comfortably furnished large living room, dining table and chairs, and tiled entrance hall. Through the big windows front and back, the gardens are splendid.
Rates include all utilities, washer, dryer, cable TV, wireless Internet, fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker and on-street parking. Furnishings for weekly rentals include a 32-inch Sharp Aquos flat-screen TV, DVD player, board games, dishes, stemware, towels and linen.
Except for an already-booked first week of the Olympics, the apartment is available for rental from Feb. 4 to March 30.
Dogs and non-smoking humans are welcome.
Wherever you end up, we wish you a great time in Vancouver.
